Library Board Trustee Vacancy

July 1, 2020

Because of the resignation of a member of the Board of Trustees of the Blanchard Community Library, the remaining board members are seeking applicants that may be interested in being appointed to fill the remainder of the term for that seat. The new appointee’s term will expire in December 2022.

Library trustees are responsible for setting the goals and direction of the library and the oversight of the library director. Anyone who is interested in the library and who is a registered voter that lives in the library district is encouraged to apply.

For more information about being a trustee and how to apply, contact Ned Branch, District Director, at 805-525-3615 x301 or ned.branch@blanchardlibrary.org. The board will interview qualified candidates in an open meeting at its July board meeting.

There are three other board seats that will be on the ballot at the November general election. Anyone interested in running for election to the board should also contact Ned Branch for more information about the nomination process.
