Curbside Pickup Service

Curbside pickup of held items will be available from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday and 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Curbside Pickup Procedure

  1. Place items on hold.
    • To request items for pickup, place a hold online at, or by calling (805) 525-3615 and selecting OPTION 2 during open hours.
  2. Wait for notification that your hold is ready to be picked up.
    • You will receive an email or phone notification when your hold is available for pickup.
      Please note that wait times for hold may be longer than usual. We apologize for the delay.
  3. After calling, pick up your items at the curbside location.
    • Upon arrival at the library, patrons should send a text to (805) 220-7900.
      A link to a secure chat will be sent as a reply (see below, left).
    • In the secure chat (see below, right), provide your NAME and VEHICLE DESCRIPTION to let library staff know you are ready to checkout.
    • Staff will then checkout and bag items and will deliver the items directly to patrons.

At this time, returns are accepted only through the drop box in the library parking lot.
Staff will be unable to accept any returns directly from patrons.

Introducing Curbside Plus!

While the Blanchard Community Library remains closed to the general public due to the COVID19 pandemic, we are offering limited computer use by appointment, starting Monday, September 21.

Regular curbside pickup is still available.

Computer Appointment Hours: 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM, Monday through Thursday.

If your or someone in your household is sick, please DO NOT schedule an appointment.

Computer Usage Guidelines

Appointments are required. Patrons are asked to arrive 5-10 minutes prior to their reservation so they can be checked in. Because appointments are scheduled throughout the day, staff will be unable to extend sessions for any reason.

Appointments may be scheduled by calling (805) 525-3615 and selecting OPTION 2 during open hours.

Patrons must be 18 years or older and will need to have a valid library card to make a reservation.

Sessions are limited to one (1) thirty (30) minute session per day, per patron, for the health and safety of patrons and staff.

Masks are required. Masks must be worn at all times by both staff and patrons.
Face masks should cover nose and mouth at all times.

In order to maintain social distancing, library staff will be unable to assist with computer use.

If printing, patrons are encouraged to bring enough coins and/or small bills as change will be unavailable. Black and white prints are $0.15 each, color prints are $0.65 each.
